Great attendance is the first step in helping children become good students. You play a vital role by helping your child attend school every day possible. When your child is absent for any reason, please call the office before 8:30 AM every day of the absence period. If you have not called the office to excuse absences, your child must bring a written excuse when they return, explaining their absence. The only excused absences the state allows are illness, health care appointments, or bereavement. Any other absence is unexcused except as noted below under Independent Study. Any student with three unexcused absences or three tardies is considered a truant.
